Fancy Restaurant Food vs. Fast Food?

As it turns out, fancy restaurant food is no better than eating fast food.

That means:  Home cooking wins! Especially when it comes to calories, vitamins, minerals and good healthy choices.

If you eat out, you're going to eat more calories. That comes from the latest research study.

I believe it, too.

Think about the last time you went to a restaurant.  You may have had an appetizer or a bread bowl prior to your entree.  And then you may have added dessert or something sweet after your entree.  All of those choices add up to a lot of extra calories.

Now, think about the last meal you made and ate at home.  Simple serving size consumed and the meal may end with some fruit or an apple.  Nothing fancy, but nothing too elaborate in the calorie department either.

It's been a while since I've been out to a restaurant, but when I go out, I always look at the online menu and the calorie count before I go.  It's a nice piece of information to have so you make a better choice.  But the calorie counts can be huge in restaurants.  So, be smart, be informed and make good choices when going out or eating at home.
