History shows that certain patterns of decision, even poor patterns, affect lives.
How is the way they're treating Ebola any different than the way they've treated the potentially deadly MRSA infection for decades? Downplay it... and it spreads. There have been few isolations or quarantines for anyone knowingly exposed to MRSA and this its he standard quo for highly contagious, infectious, potentially deadly viruses. Most patients who are diagnosed with MRSA skin infections are not even quarantined or isolated, but instead are sent back home and into the community which is why we have Community Associated MRSA now.
Beyond politics, I believe this is also a pattern to desensitize... and unfortunately, it's a pattern that also costs lives.
When history repeats itself, it's not always good.

Hopefully, the FDA in the United States starts approving things that work until waiting to pass all of the medical problems along to the pharmaceutical companies relying on those companies to only extend life. Whether that will be quality life or not is yet to be seen.
