Ebola: Military "Strike Team"

How the Ebola crisis became the responsibility of the U.S. military makes zero sense to me.

U.S. military steps in to tackle Ebola: Elite 'strike team' of soldiers and doctors to deal with any future Ebola cases - Daily Mail

I have met people who are currently under the care of Infectious Disease Specialists for MRSA... yet those same doctors have not chosen to quarantine or isolate those infected patients who are clearly suffering with a contagious infection that is potentially deadly.  Instead, those Infectious Disease Specialists have sent active infectious patients home and back into the community.

While I have hope that every new approach will work, doctors have to start changing their old habits by promising the public that it is "very unlikely" any virus will spread further into the community.  If history dictates, that shows us it just isn't true.
