Grandparents Day on this September 7th is very important to my mother.
She's a wonderful grandmother and she's loved by all of her grandchildren. From the moment her grandchildren were born, she was making baby blankets for them. She adores her grandchildren. She keeps in touch with each one, worries about them, and loves them.
I had no idea when Grandparents Day came along so I researched it. Apparently, Grandparents Day was signed into law in 1978 by President Jimmy Carter to recognize grandparents. I'm glad he did.
