Buy Less: Eat Less

Impulse buying.

If you go to the grocery store hungry, you will buy more food.

And potentially, you will wreck your diet.

If you have sugar laden cereals in your kitchen, you will eat them.

If you have potato chips in your kitchen, you will eat them.

Whatever you have in your kitchen, that will supply your meals.

But if you're smart and you make smart purchases, you will only eat smart.

Eat an apple before you go to the store.

Make a list of the groceries you NEED, not want.

Aim for proteins that keep you fuller longer.  Peanut butter is filling.  Meat is filling.

It's your choice to include eggs in your diet, but I love eggs and they're also filling.

If you look in my pantry, you will find lots of cans of beans including black beans and garbanzo beans.  Beans are filling.

Having a baked potato is inexpensive and delicious!

Any meal can be turned into a gourmet meal with the right plating, too.  Small amounts of food seem like a decoration on a white plate.  Be thoughtful in your plating.

Here's to a beautiful week of poignant, thoughtful eating!
