Teatox: Latest Diet Buzzword

Teatox.

I have to admit, this is the first time I've heard of the Teatox diet since it was mentioned in an article about Kylie Jenner.

This Teatox thing is a cleanse and detox, but you're supposed to eat a healthy diet with it.  It's not supposed to be about drinking only tea.

Some research shows certain teas may cause a laxative effect.  That's never the best way to effectively lose weight.  You have to do your research.  There are several companies online that are using Teatox in their product name or diet offering.  Again, do your research.

But 14 days of detoxing your body of sugar and focusing on better food choices along with an herbal tea sounds like business as usual when it comes to detoxing.

Honestly, I think this is something you could do at home without making special purchases.  At least, that's the way it sounds to me.

Why would you need to buy a special herbal tea if you're focusing on a healthier diet?  Couldn't you just count calories on My Fitness Pal for free, eliminate coffee and sugar, increase fiber, drink more water and herbal tea?

There are always alternatives if you want to lose weight.  See what fits your need.  Drink tea or don't drink tea.  Long term, it's not going to make a difference if you're committed to a healthy eating plan and remain active.
