Fat People Don't Think They're Fat?

That's right.  Most people who tip the scale to obese don't know they're obese, probably because they're not willing to step on the scale!

Nearly all obese people are in denial about their size: 90% don't think they have a weight problem because bigger sizes are becoming the new 'normal' - Daily Mail

More and more people are joining the BMI category of obese every day.  Obesity is out-of-control. Look around your neighborhood.  Shop at department stores.  Take a good look at people who are eating out in restaurants and barely fit into the seats.

Fat people simply don't think they're fat... when comparing them in the scale of other people's obesity.

This is absolutely true.  I have morbidly obese friends who complain about their other morbidly obese friends for eating too much, which nullifies their own weight problem.

It's common for people who are obese to fuss about other people's weight and distract attention from their own weight problem.  I believe it's a defense mechanism protecting them from criticism for their own obesity and lack of willpower and control.

One morbidly obese friend of mine complained about someone in her family being morbidly obese as she was eating french fries.  She really couldn't see that her own weight and eating habits were a problem, too.

I say, face reality.  Get real with yourself.  Ask your sibling for advice.  If anyone will be honest with you, it's your brother or sister.  That's true in my family.  When I was falling off the food wagon, my sister hit me with the truth and said get back to counting calories on My Fitness Pal and take off the extra weight you've put on.  No one likes to hear the truth, but our health depends on facing the truth. If you're morbidly obese and in denial, stop fooling yourselves!  Get back on track today!
