It's been thirteen years since the U.S. changed.
Everything changed on 9/11/01.
Thousands of people died that day in New York City.
The survivors never forget.
We are reminded every time we walk into an airport.
My sister was alive in 2001.
My father was alive in 2001.
My aunts and uncles were alive in 2001.
I was also happily married in 2001... or so I thought.
My children were young then and didn't completely understand what was happening in the world. In 2012, I flew my boys to New York City to visit the Memorial. They know what happened. Now, they're both young men in college.
May we always remember and honor those who perished that day.
May we always remember the survivors as well.
May we never forget.
Remember... pause... and honor...
