Worldwide Obesity Problem

Last year, about 2.1 billion people worldwide were obese or overweight. This according to a new study funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The United States leads in numbers, but the rise in obesity has led to widespread calls for regular monitoring of changes in overweight and obesity prevalence in all populations.

This is a global health challenge.

In 2010, overweight and obesity were estimated to cause 3.4 million deaths worldwide.

If you're obese, see your health professional today to start making changes.  Get a full checkup.

If you're overweight, step onto your scale and weigh yourself.  

Calculate your BMI:


Look at a serving size, calculate your calories, and track what you eat:


Get moving.  If you don't belong to the gym, step out, and get walking.  

Start small to make progress.

Support each other... and give up your sweatpants.
