Mike Rowe's Inspiring TED Talk

I love TED talks.  I can't get enough of them.  If I want to feel inspired, I turn to TED talks.  For me, it's either TED or speaker Steve Siebold.

This speech by Mike Rowe from the TV show on the Discovery Channel, "Dirty Jobs," is uncomfortable to listen to at first, but it's also very funny...and poignant.

Oh...MY!!!

Rowe doesn't believe in "Following Your Passion."

Fascinating take... maybe I should have gotten into the septic business.

Rowe has a new show on CNN "Somebody's Gotta Do It" on Wednesday nights.

Meanwhile, here's another TED Talk with a different take:

David Brooks: Should you live for your resume or your eulogy?

In my work in the funeral industry, I will tell you that the professional side of someone's life does not define them.  The eulogy is filled with stories outside of work, no matter how respected the person is in his or her professional life.

The choice on how to live and what you should live for belongs to you...

Of course, David Blaine's TED Talk is insanity.
