With this latest headline, maybe people are starting to understand that this case of Ebola is going to multiply.
The Texas Ebola Patient Was Accidentally Sent Home From the Hospital
Even worse, this Ebola patient came into contact with many people on his flight. He even came into contact with schoolchildren. Ugh... awful.
In the United States, MRSA patients are routinely sent home from the hospital or doctor's office regularly without adequate diagnosis, treatment or information. Therefore, they also spread MRSA in their communities to people who are unsuspecting.
People don't hug each other or shake hands in West Africa for a reason.
I rarely shake hands with anyone anymore. A friendly nod of my head and polite conversation has replaced the shaking of hands. Hugging strangers is also off limits, even if it's a funeral setting. You have to be proactive and protect yourself.
There are answers to stop the spread of Ebola and MRSA including routine screening and isolation. But those changes have to be put into place immediately...
