Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper & Snapple Want Low-Calorie Profits

Are you going to drink sodas that have fewer calories?

Soda makers want to cut calories: But is diet better?

If they use artificial sweeteners, everybody is screwed because those products allegedly lead to diabetes, weight gain and obesity.

American soda goes on a diet

The soda companies are going to offer smaller portions of their products?  And promote water?

Why not just skip the middle man and everyone drink more water, which is truly zero calories with no adverse effects?

I think this is about money and the beverage companies know more people will buy diet products or products that are labeled low-calorie.  Companies have to go with the times and America's obesity problem is an epidemic and growing.

But if you start buying cans with smaller portions, can you drink just one?  And therein lies the problem.  The better, healthier choice is not to have soda, even smaller portions, in your home.  It eliminates the temptation of drinking them at all.

Good luck!
